About the role
As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You'll handle complex cases involving chronic pain, neurological, physical, and mental health conditions, helping customers progress in their lives.
The role can be both challenging and rewarding. We provide tailored training to help you thrive, including 6 weeks of initial training, ongoing support, and mentorship.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate how a person's health impacts their daily activities.
2. Produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits.
3. Enhance your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.
Requirements
* Valid HCPC registration number
* At least 1 year of post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Proficiency in computer software for report writing
