Engaging and Recruiting Talent for Bauer Media UK
What do Katherine Ryan, Olivia Attwood, Pete Wicks, Gemma Atkinson, Ken Bruce and Roxie Nafousi have in common? They all host podcasts on Bauer Media’s fast-growing audio portfolio, and we’re looking for a brilliant Communications Manager in London to help take them to new heights.
This is a unique opportunity to shape public perception and drive awareness of Bauer’s expanding podcast slate, as well as support high-impact campaigns across our audio business.
You’ll lead the charge in building buzz and media visibility for new podcast launches and series, developing PR strategies to reach new audiences and grow listenership. You’ll work closely with talent, pitch and secure media interviews across multiple platforms, and collaborate with the wider Bauer Media UK communications team to align messaging and maximise campaign impact.
If you live and breathe pop culture, have a keen sense for spotting stories and news hooks that spark media interest, and know how to engage both traditional and digital outlets, this is your ideal next step.
Our Team
You’ll join a supportive, innovative team, reporting to the Head of Communications for Bauer Media Audio UK and collaborate across our global communications community. Alongside podcasts, you’ll have the opportunity to work on our high-profile radio brands, Rayo, events, commercial partnerships, consumer competitions and Bauer’s charity Cash for Kids.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, and a Hybrid role working from home and from our office location in London.
What you will do
* Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and deliver innovative PR campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and listening across Bauer’s podcast portfolio as well as support across wider audio campaigns. Integrate influencer and earned media strategies into PR rollouts.
* Storytelling: Secure national, trade, and digital media coverage for podcasts, talent, and key audio initiatives. Collaborate with producers, talent, and brand leads to create compelling media narratives. Partner with social and digital teams to amplify earned coverage.
* Collaboration: Align with the wider Bauer Media Audio UK communications team to support business objectives. Attend planning meetings with podcast, content, and marketing teams to integrate communications into wider business strategies.
* Media & Stakeholder Relations: Act as a key point of contact for media, responding to enquiries and representing Bauer. Brief talent for press opportunities, ensuring alignment on key messaging.
* Performance & Analysis: Monitor, report, and analyse podcast PR performance against KPIs, providing actionable insights.
What you will bring
* Extensive experience planning and executing press and PR campaigns, ideally in audio, entertainment, or media.
* Proven track record of securing coverage across national, trade, and digital outlets.
* Creative campaign planner with a sharp understanding of what resonates with press and public audiences.
* Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Exceptional writer, skilled in crafting compelling press materials and media narratives.
* Experience working directly with talent and preparing them for media opportunities.
* A natural relationship-builder, with strong contacts in entertainment and culture media.
* Results-driven, with experience setting KPIs and measuring campaign impact.
* Passionate about the UK podcasting and audio landscape.
