This is an integral rolesuited to a results driven leader who is passionate aboutdelivering operational excellence across the South and Midlandsregion.
The Regional Operations Director is aSenior appointment focused on delivering profitable growth with apassion and ability to drive performance through their peoplecoaching leading and enabling the management teams to delivercontinuous improvement. My clients most lucrative region you willmake significant contributions to the quality performance levelsfinancial and commercial side of the business.
You will hold accountability for theoptimisation and performance of circa 14 depots whilst driving andimplementing innovative change and transformation for the future.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to become a strategicleader within the business with a clear pathway to further yourcareer.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensureall of operations staff and processes are conducted with healthsafe and legal as a priority and embed in their culture ensuringHealth Safety Environmental and Quality compliance is maintainedand the companys procedures and objectives areachieved.
* Accountability for overseeing anddeveloping our logistics operational and service requirementsacross multiple customers and sites.
* Successfully deliver Key Performance andefficiency with your Regional Operational teams.
* Manage the staffing profit performance andgeneral operation of each depot whilst liaising the depotsmanagement and supervisors.
* Lead and motivatethe depot teams to deliver exceptional performance by setting clearobjectives and targets monitoring and reviewing progress andsupporting them in the delivery of theirtargets.
* Leading operational performanceincluding primary trunking final mile (radial) execution planssubcontractors claims stock holding returns and customer serviceprocesses.
* Lead and execute change initiativesto drive organisational transformation within the region andcollaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on multipleprojects through leadership and engagement.
* Inconjunction with Finance working to maximize efficiencies andoperations in line with Key Performance and budgetexpectations.
* Lead the ongoing development ofthe regions estate supporting depot relocations expansion ordownsizing to support the demands of thebusiness.
ABOUTYOU:
* Experiencedlogistics professional with relevant qualifications who will haspreviously operated at a senior level and has managed a multisiteregion with the ambition to further your career to Senior Directorlevel within 35 years.
* Have a track record inleading ambitious transformational operational projects withexperience in depot relocations up and downsizing dependent on thedemands of the business.
* Experience inimplementing lean methodologies and six sigma principles to driveprocess improvements and efficiencies inoperations.
* Proven project management skills todeliver strategic change and improve performance whilst deliveringon time and within budget
* Demonstrableexperience of customer relationshipmanagement
* Customer focused with problemsolving and decisionmaking ability continual improvement mindsetwith experience of driving efficiency savings andgrowth.
* Good financial and business acumen withexperience of managing budgets.
* Excellentpeople management skills driving accountability and deliveringresults through people Managing people andperformance.
* Full UK Driving licence withfrequent travel required.
