Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our Finance Systems Team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Finance System (3e). You’ll champion best practices—such as maintaining our General Ledger structure, Charge Out Rate framework, and Starters, Movers & Leavers processes—while supporting finance users to deliver exceptional service across the business.
You’ll also act as a bridge between Finance, Internal IT, and external suppliers, helping to resolve system issues and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Implement changes to the finance system accurately and on time to meet evolving business needs.
2. Manage user accounts in line with the firm’s Starters, Movers & Leavers process, collaborating closely with HR, IT, and Financial Operations.
3. Maintain and oversee the firm’s Charge Out Rates, including annual rate increases, and advising colleagues at all levels on effective charging strategies
4. Support system upgrades, testing, and new developments alongside the Finance Systems Manager.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user queries efficiently.
6. Perform daily reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
7. Translate technical information into clear, user-friendly guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
8. Carry out daily validation tasks and system updates.
9. Maintain and update critical business data within the Practice Management System.
10. Manage your workload independently, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision.
11. Provide training and ongoing support to finance colleagues on system use and financial procedures.
12. Create and maintain clear documentation for key processes and team activities.
About You
13. Strong working knowledge of finance systems or other IT systems
14. Knowledge of financial processes and procedures would be desirable
15. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other advanced software tools
16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
17. Strong numerical and analytical skills
18. Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
19. Customer-focused with a proactive approach to service delivery
20. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
21. High attention to detail and accuracy
22. A natural problem-solver who can identify issues and offer practical solutions
