HR Advisor – Fixed Term (until September 2027)
Location: Wednesbury / Piquant
Salary: GBP30,000 – GBP35,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About the role:
* Manage routine employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, capability and informal grievances, escalating more complex matters where needed.
* Provide clear, practical guidance to line managers on policies, procedures and best practice.
* Support investigations, including note‑taking and preparing outcome documentation.
* Prepare and issue HR documents such as invitations, outcomes, contractual changes and general correspondence.
* Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems to ensure data quality.
* Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities.
* Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on site, building strong working relationships.
* Provide day‑to‑day, accessible HR support and help foster a positive employee experience.
* Respond to line manager queries with consistent, practical advice aligned to company policy.
* Support and coach managers in applying people processes effectively.
* Support key HR processes including absence tracking, probation reviews and performance cycles, ensuring consistency and compliance.
* Work closely with the HR Business Partner, supporting case preparation, reporting, HR initiatives and site‑level change activities.
About you:
* Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
* Hands‑on experience managing a range of employee relations cases.
* Background in manufacturing, FMCG or a fast‑paced operational environment (desirable).
* Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
* Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
* Comfortable working with data, with good numeracy and IT skills.
* CIPD Level 3 as a minimum.
