Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Adult’s Social Worker in Wiltshire
This is to work as a Safeguarding Investigation Manager based out of Trowbridge
1. To operate as an Advanced Social Work Professional Professional taking the investigating manager role in Adult Protection.
2. The role involves complex work with regard to the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act interface.
3. Providing a consultative role based on developing skill, experience and expertise within Wiltshire.
4. To use advanced expertise and knowledge to triage referrals, establish thresholds on which to base action plans and to take the overall management of investigations .
5. To be proactive in the development and implementation of Safeguarding Adults at Risk and Making Safeguarding Personal.
6. To play a part in service development and lead on efficient and effective delivery of practice standards and service quality.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

To be a specialist on Safeguarding/Adult protection matters within the team, playing a part in ensuring that all members of Wiltshire Council are working in accordance with current policies, procedures and strategies to include the application of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLSvia advice given at the point of triage and over the phone.
8. To act as an investigating manager regardingadults at risk by overseeing all elements of the s42 enquiry including; setting the actions; agreeing minutes; and concluding the investigations. This to cover all the investigations within the council from start to finish.
9. For more complex investigations to take the role of Investigating Officer for example an investigation into a care home or hospital ward.
10. To provide independent specialist advice and consultancy to staff and other relevant agencies on matters pertaining toSafeguarding Adults and the implementation of policies, proceduresand strategies
11. To support the development of behaviour and practice of team members and other colleagues to ensure high quality and effective social work practice via taking part in the quarterly training
