An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the finance team to support the NOTSSCaN clinical division at Oxford University Hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to progress their career in the NHS.
Key Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Deputy Head of Divisional Finance in providing comprehensive finance business partnering to the division’s directorates, including business case development, support around budget setting and financial reporting.
* Develop plans for elective recovery and efficiency programmes and provide value through financial advice and challenge.
* Build strong relationships with the Clinical Directorate team to help them develop and realise their strategic aims.
* Line‑manage Band 7 Finance Business Partners, driving their learning and development and managing the divisional finance team when deputising for the Deputy Head of Divisional Finance.
* Support the Deputy and Divisional Head of Finance to ensure that monthly budget monitoring reports are robust and accurately account for all appropriate accruals within the agreed timetable.
* Plan and coordinate the development of the annual budget for the division and prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, costings and business cases.
* Work as part of a cohesive team and, when necessary, take lead responsibility for issues outside the immediate sphere of responsibility.
* Collaborate with key leads within the directorate and fellow finance colleagues in corporate finance to ensure operations are consistent with the Trust’s financial framework, implement financial controls and processes, and produce accurate financial reporting and analysis.
* Deputise for the Deputy Head of Divisional Finance when required.
