Job Advert We’re looking for a skilled and customer‑focused Multi Trade Operative (Plumber) to deliver high‑quality plumbing repairs across our social housing stock. You’ll work primarily on responsive repairs, emergency call‑outs, void properties and minor planned works, helping to keep homes safe, compliant and in good repair. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in right‑first‑time repairs and understands the importance of great customer service in occupied homes. What You’ll Be Doing: * Delivering responsive and emergency plumbing repairs within agreed service timescales * Carrying out plumbing works including: * Hot and cold water system repairs and maintenance * Sanitary ware repairs, renewals and installations * Leak detection and rectification * Pipework installation and repair * Basic heating‑related plumbing tasks (non‑gas) * Diagnosing faults accurately and completing efficient, durable repairs * Working safely and compliantly in residents’ homes * Protecting residents’ belongings and leaving homes clean and tidy * Using mobile working systems to record work, order materials and update jobs * Taking responsibility for your vehicle, tools and van stock * Participating in an out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota when required Must haves: * Proven experience delivering plumbing repairs in domestic properties * Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills * A customer‑focused, flexible and professional approach * Good communication skills with residents and colleagues * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent) * Full UK driving licence Hours of work: * 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday * The normal hours of duty are between 8:00am till 17:00pm and the actual hours to be worked each day will be agreed with you, depending on the needs of the business * There may be some Saturdays on a rota basis We offer: * A performance based annual bonus pension contributions matched up to 6% * 28 days holiday bank holidays and the option to buy/sell holiday * Training & Development and opportunities for continuing professional development including regular tool box talks * A great team of colleagues to work with * Regular social and charitable events and a range of wellbeing activities * Enhanced family leave policies * A really competitive package of flexible employee benefits including a cycle to work scheme * A fantastic working office environment overlooking the River Medway that’s accessible and inclusive * Free parking and disabled parking * Access to two holiday homes in Norfolk and Dorset We’re a Disability Confident employer.
