About the Role
We are working with a food manufacturer looking to expand their engineering team. The position requires a long‑term commitment to machine upgrades, team development and improving factory efficiency and capacity. Candidates from a variety of engineering backgrounds are welcomed, but you must have drive, ambition and passion for growing your engineering career.
Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and fault‑finding on machinery, including Siemens PLCs and various electrical production equipment.
* Report to senior management and collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Assist in upgrading manual machinery to automated systems to support business growth.
* Lead and suggest improvements and project work to enhance efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with standards and provide support for 24/6 production.
Qualifications
* Electrical or multi‑skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias, NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition qualification.
* 5–8 years’ experience in an engineering role.
* Open to candidates from any industry; not limited to maintenance backgrounds.
* Willingness to participate in an on‑call rota and occasional weekend work, typically every other week.
