Our Maintenance Assistants help to keep facilities in good operating condition to ensure the smooth running of the hotels. The role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is part of a team based at our attractive hotel in Braintree (CM77 7AB).
Maintenance Assistant responsibilities include:
* Supporting the management of all maintenance requirements across the hotel, including infrastructure, repairs, and renovations.
* Conducting planned preventative maintenance and systematic testing of rooms and electrical equipment, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and decorating.
* Ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our hotels to guarantee an exceptional guest experience.
* Responding to maintenance emergencies.
Other titles for this role may include Maintenance Person, Assistant Multi Trader, Property Maintenance Assistant, or Facilities Maintenance Assistant.

What you’ll bring to the team
Due to the physical nature of the role, including spending a lot of time on your feet and unloading heavy deliveries, good physical fitness is essential. Efficiency in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills are key. You should be able to follow instructions and be adaptable to meet the needs of both the company and guests.
