Location: Sheffield & Rotherham Salary: £12.60-£13.30 per hour Hours: WEEKENDS Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield support Children and Young Adults living with complex care needs within the community. We are seeking WEEKEND female Support Workers to provide support to their allocated clients on a consistent regular basis. Children who require support often still require support outside of school or weekday hours, which can be a critical time for socialisation and family respite. As a Support Worker you will be ensuring clients safety, well-being, and engagement in meaningful activities. This role is especially important for children with additional needs and disabilities. Support visits are provided within BLOCK hours. Ranging from 4 hours-14 hours at any one time. Supporting on a one to one or two to one basis depending on the need of the client. To ensure consistent support is provided for your regular clients your availability needs to remain the same throughout your employment. Full training will be provided with support and guidance from the management team to ensure competency within your role. Key Responsibilities: Support children and young people with daily living activities during weekends. Including personal care, medication administration, moving & handling, nutrition and hydration needs and community access. Work in partnership with families, caregivers, and professionals to meet the child’s individual needs. Promote independence, confidence, and social skills in children. Safeguard children by following safeguarding procedures and raising concerns appropriately. Complete accurate and timely records, reports, and observations. Provide emotional support and encouragement. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people. Availability to work weekends. Driving license and access to a vehicle. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
