Parks Operative – £13.91/hour Belfast City Council | Full Time | Grade 3 Department: City & Neighbourhood Services We’re hiring Parks Operatives to keep Belfast’s parks and open spaces clean, safe, and looking their best all year round! Key Responsibilities: Drive and operate vehicles (van, trailer, tractor, mower) General park maintenance: mowing, pruning, hedge trimming, planting Litter removal, basic repairs, and playground checks Use of powered tools and garden machinery Assist with events, inspections, and public interactions Maintain tools and vehicles to a safe and clean standard ️ ✅ What You Need: Full valid C1E driving licence Minimum 1 year’s experience in: Gardening & horticulture Safe use of powered hand tools ⚙️ Face-to-face public interaction Pass a driving assessment (unless completed in last 12 months) ⭐ Desirable Skills: Strong communication & teamwork Health & safety awareness Basic technical knowledge of horticulture Good customer care attitude Commitment to equality and professionalism This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a team that helps maintain the beauty and function of Belfast's public spaces.
