Background:
Our client, an established and growing SME in the specialist building products sector, is seeking a
Fractional Chief Revenue Officer
to help lead its next phase of UK and international growth. This is a strategic, part-time opportunity, ideal for a senior professional who works with a portfolio of SME clients (or is starting on their fractional journey), and is looking to make a long-term impact.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for shaping and executing the company's sales and marketing strategy, managing a small in-house telesales team, and working closely with a retained marketing agency. The business has a strong foothold in the UK and USA, with recent expansion into Europe via a new distribution partner. Indicatively, it includes:
· Lead and evolve the sales and marketing strategy across UK, USA, and European markets.
· Coach and develop a small internal telesales team to improve performance and capability.
· Manage and optimise the relationship with a full-service marketing agency (including PPC).
· Drive B2B growth with new and existing large corporate customers and through channel partnerships.
· Leverage case studies and customer success stories to support business development.
· Bring insight into new routes to market via architects, specifiers, construction firms, and merchants.
Person Profile:
The successful individual will:
· Have experience in sales of construction-related products, preferably second-fix, and supply chains.
· Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles and international sales strategy.
· Be a senior sales and marketing leader, with a proven ability to manage and coach sales teams and external marketing partners.
· International experience: USA / Europe preferably; Middle East / Asia advantageous.
· An understanding of manufacturing would be beneficial.
