HPS work through out the North East of England from York to Newcastle. We carry out a variety of works and employ the majority of trades ourselves.
HPS work mainly in residential properties and require a skilled labourer to assist with a growing work load. We are an approved contractor for several insurance companies who send work direct to us. This includes fire, flood and water damage repairs as well as impact damage and subsidence repairs. We also build extensions.
Works will vary from working alongside tradesmen to working on your own so you must be able to drive. The work will involve working with trades to carry out brickwork / masonary repairs which includes taking down damaged walls, clearing the site and then rebuilding the affected area. Works range from minor patch repairs to full walls. It can also involve installing lintels in existing buildings, carrying out structural repairs and other associated works. On bigger jobs, you will assist plasterers with boarding ceilings.
Works can also involve stripping out ranging from localised works to access damaged pipes to a single ceiling or a fire damaged house; taking down and clearing brick walls; assisting other trades when required; site clearance plus collecting / delivering materials and clearing site waste.
You should have previous experience of the building industry and a full driving licence.
The job involves travel to various sites that can change on a daily basis. Whilst materials are delivered to site on bigger jobs, there will be smaller jobs where you will need to collect materials on your way to site.
