Our client is currently looking to bring on an experienced, motivated and dedicated Fabric Engineer to join their Maintenance Team on a fantastic, state of the art, flagship site based in Leicester. This is a great role to get into if you're looking for a proactive role, career progression and to be valued as part of a team.
In this role, you will be representing the client on site in a professional and polite manner whilst carrying out fabric duties on site, liaising with subcontractors and actively seeking out work to carry out on site. This is a static role, following a fixed pattern, Monday - Friday, 8 -5 as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all fabric-related tasks
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing and repairing fabric-related faults.
* General upkeep of the building, including painting, decorating, basic plumbing works, and basic electrical work.
* Maintain fire doors and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation across the site.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed and parts used.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or similar role, preferably in a large-scale facility.
* Strong understanding of fabric systems, plumbing, and general building fabric.
* Experience with painting, decorating, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
