Principal/ Associate Environmental Consultant

Salary: £60‑80k (seniority dependent)
Location: Bristol (hybrid working opportunities)
Occasional travel as required
Your role
* Lead technical coastal work and oversee junior staff in geomorphology, hydrodynamics, flooding, environmental assessments, GIS, and technical reporting
* Ensure quality assurance for technical deliverables and guide junior staff in coastal management practices
* Progress a suite of projects under your control, managing resources and supporting project procedures including financial and change control
* Contribute to business development activities such as tendering and client engagement
Your experience
* Technical capability: proficient in wave, tide, and sediment transport modelling; empirical methods; data analysis; GIS (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS); and adaptive coastal management approaches
* Behavioural capability: ability to lead and develop technical teams, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior staff
* Strong desire to innovate and learn across challenges, with a focus on high standards and practical problem solving
