Kenna Recruitment are searching for an Assistant Document Controller to join a Leading Refurb and Fit Out Contractor in Chatham. This role involves assisting the Lead Document Controller and the project team in a fast-paced environment with large amounts of information to process and distribute efficiently. No Document Control experience is required, and knowledge of construction is desirable but not essential. Job Role / Responsibilities Oversee document management for several projects, ensuring project-related documentation is uploaded, distributed, and tracked correctly using the Deltek PIM platform. This includes: * Request for Information * Technical Submittals * Sample Submittals * Professional Team Drawings * Subcontractor & Supplier Drawings * Coordinate with the project team on specific documentation distribution requirements. * Track missing or inaccurate project information and ensure updates are made. * Load, track, and chase supply chain design information, including Drawings and Technical Submissions. * Facilitate efficient retrieval of project documents throughout the project lifecycle. * Assist in the collation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals as required. * Attend meetings as needed to discuss project needs and outstanding information. * Update, collate, and manage Progress Reports on live projects. * Assist with the upload of tenders/enquiries received by the team. * Publish incoming and outgoing emails. * Provide general support for projects as needed, including saving documents, printing, posting information, and producing presentations for meetings. Experience / Skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word & Excel. * Proficient in Outlook. * Outstanding organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. * Excellent communication skills with Clients, Professional Teams, Team Members, and Supply Chain. Ability to lead meetings to review project information. * Able to work to tight deadlines. * Work well as part of a team and independently, using initiative. * Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Prior knowledge of construction and the roles of the professional team, main contractor, and supply chain is advantageous but not essential.
