Family Support Worker Fixed Term Contract - Required As Soon As Possible until 31 st December 2025 Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week, Term-time (plus 4 weeks) Grade 8 FTE Salary (£31,364 - £35,745) Pro Rata Salary (£30,890 - £35,205) pay award pending This is a new role within the school to improve the life outcomes and opportunities for the children and their families of Charnwood Primary Academy. This will include working with all families in need of support including vulnerable groups, SEND, Pupil Premium eligible, LAC and EAL pupils. We are looking for : A professional who can support parents to have an understanding of the EHCP process and other SEND issues through liaison with the SENDCo. To develop home/school links between the school and families. To support with parenting skills by providing parenting guidance and support, either on a one-to-one basis or via parent workshops. To have specific responsibility for attendance across the school. To work within the ‘Spotlight for Attendance’ programme to improve attendance rates across the school. To visit family homes by arrangement if this is necessary. To provide practical help and emotional support for families particularly at times of crisis and organising meetings and drop-ins at appropriate times with relevant children and families.
