An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our Independent Living Support Service. Independent Living Services (ILS) support vulnerable adults to live independently at home and connected to their communities, through tailored information, advice and support – enabling people to take control of their own lives.


About the job

To provide high quality and effective administrative support to the Independent Living and Wellbeing Service, ensuring that all processes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

The role involves managing the day-to-day administrative functions of the service, including raising purchase orders, processing external bills, and supporting the payment of invoices. You will provide advice and support to customers, assist Wellbeing Officers in the delivery of services, and maintain accurate records and systems.

You will liaise with colleagues across internal teams and external partner organisations, ensuring effective communication and coordination of services. The role also includes producing and maintaining management information reports to support operational delivery and service improvement.


What We Are Looking For From You

You will need to have experience of working with members of the public, including those who may be vulnerable, and an understanding of administrative processes within a social care or health environment. You will be responsible for supporting the Independent Living and Wellbeing Service through a range of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records, processing financial information such as invoices and purchase orders, and updating database systems.

You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to listen, respond, and provide clear and accurate information to customers, colleagues and partner agencies. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively, forming effective working relationships with internal teams and external organisations to support service delivery.

You will spend much of your time responding to customer enquiries, supporting Wellbeing Officers, and ensuring that all administrative processes are completed efficiently and to a high standard. You will be expected to manage and prioritise your workload, produce reports, and ensure systems are kept up to date.

You will usually work in a busy environment, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to use initiative to support a responsive and high-quality service.

The ability to speak other languages, particularly Welsh and community languages, would be an advantage.
