The post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced individual in the service sector, ideally with knowledge of the private practice business or a strong enthusiasm to learn. You will possess team management experience, a passion for providing excellent service to patients and clinical teams, and excellent attention to detail. The post holder will manage the team of Private Patient Co-Ordinators to ensure high standards of patient bookings, collect upfront payments, and secure complete authorization for all private episodes of care. You will coordinate patient episodes with divisional teams to ensure all activities run efficiently and effectively. You will liaise with consultants and clinical teams to facilitate simple and effective processes for private care. Additionally, you will work with the Private Patient Finance Team Leader to coordinate billing processes and handle patient and staff queries.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing a team of private patient co-ordinators to ensure effective and accurate bookings for all private patient episodes.
2. Managing relationships with patients, consultants, and divisional staff regarding the Trust's Private Patient services.
3. Overseeing the patient experience of private healthcare within the Trust.
4. Improving access to private patient services for patients and consultants.
5. Ensuring all insured episodes are fully authorized to manage financial risk.
6. Enabling upfront deposits where possible.
This role involves access to vulnerable individuals and is subject to DBS checks under relevant legislation.
Essential experience includes team management, performance management, customer care, flexibility, and prioritization skills. Desirable experience includes NHS private patient business and familiarity with Compucare and IT systems.
