About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, just like them. By joining HC-One, you’ll have the opportunity to give back to those residents.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail will be evident in the environment you help create. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you'll do so with kindness and care.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although training will be provided. Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential. The role also requires a positive attitude, energy, and the ability to get along well with others. Good communication skills, including listening and giving instructions, are important. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation when necessary.
