About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Business and Investment Team, leading our work on employment, skills and business engagement. As part of the Greater Manchester Live Well movement, we are committed to supporting residents into good, sustainable employment. We are seeking an experienced Employability Programme Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of inclusive, high-quality employment programmes that make a real difference. In this operational role, you will be responsible for programme delivery, performance, finance and partnership working. You will work closely with employers, skills providers, health partners, voluntary and community organisations and internal Council teams to deliver person-centred support that helps residents progress into work. You will join the Place Directorate, a team committed to making Bury a great place to live, work and visit.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality employability programmes aligned to funder requirements
* Manage performance, outcomes, compliance and risk
* Oversee contracts, budgets and financial claims
* Improve service delivery systems and processes
* Build strong partnerships across sectors
About You
You will be an experienced programme manager with a strong track record in employability or related services, confident leading delivery, managing performance and working across partnerships to achieve results. Passionate about supporting residents into work, you will bring excellent communication, organisational skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week).
