Are you an experienced and compassionate support professional with a strong background in SEMH and complex needs?
We are currently recruiting for Specialist Support Staff to join a dedicated team at a school in Camden, working closely with students with significant learning and personal care needs.
Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistants:

Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs through structured interventions and emotional regulation strategies
*
Use communication tools such as PECS, BSL, and Makaton to aid learning and engagement
*
Provide specialised support for students with Down’s Syndrome to promote academic and personal development
*
Deliver high-quality SEN Teaching Assistant support across classes, working 1:1 and in small groups
*
Assist with personal care needs in a sensitive and respectful manner
Essential Skills & Experience:
*
Minimum 1 year of experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
*
Solid background supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) challenges
*
Proficient in using PECS, Makaton, and BSL in the classroom
*
Experience supporting pupils with Down’s Syndrome in a school setting
*
Ability to provide personal care in line with safeguarding and dignity protocols
*
Passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in the lives of students
