A great opportunity has arisen for a mechanical technician / fitter to join a leading manufacturing company who supply worldclass products to various industries including Oil & Gas / Offshore. Job Description: Mechanical assembly of products. Load testing of equipment. Manufacture and testing of hydraulic hoses and pipe work. Assembly, proof pressure, setup and function testing of wide range of assemblies and tooling. Interface with other departments to ensure high standards are maintained and project deadlines are met. Complete all necessary documentation, (including quality requirements, timesheets, NCR's ECN…etc.). Carry out workshop maintenance. Carry out tasks safely using good working practices and maintain high quality standards. Ensure risk assessments are present and followed. Ensure good housekeeping. Other duties as assigned. Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: Secondary education preferred. Shop floor Mechanical apprentice background preferred. Ideally suited to an automotive mechanic background. Understanding of Mechanical assembly and practice. Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Must be competent in the use of basic hand and power tools.
