The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & inter personal skills. Key responsibilities: Safely drive and operate HGV vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws, company policies and health & safety regulations Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance issues promptly Ensure loads are transported securely and safely Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, defect reports and delivery or work documentation Work independently and as part of a team to meet operational schedules and deadlines Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and members of the public when required Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service while representing the company Adhere to working time regulations and tachograph requirements Keep vehicles clean and in good working order Essential Criteria: Valid Category C (Class 2) driver license with CPC and Digi Card in date Ability to maintain high level of service in all weather conditions Must have a flexible approach to hours of work Familiarity with operating commercial driving vehicles is required Following all traffic laws and regulations while driving Conducting daily pre-start inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any maintenance issues Must be able and willing to perform routine maintenance on the vehicle Adhering to the Companys policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and delivery protocol Health and Safety awareness is important as is the ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required Desirable criteria: Previous experience in a similar role preferred Experience in operating a commercial vehicle such as Jetvac or tanker Previous experience as a sweeper Familiarity with operating commercial driving vehicles is required Closing date for applications is: Friday 13th February 2026.
