The role
Job Title: Trainee Claims Assessor
Location: Basingstoke or Dorking (hybrid working)
What you'll be doing
* Assessing claims: learn to manage and assess claims using medical and policy knowledge.
* Customer communication: deliver clear, empathetic updates to customers throughout the claims process.
* Team collaboration: work closely with colleagues across the Claims department while managing your own caseload.
* Service excellence: build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, always putting the customer first.
What you'll bring
* Curious and analytical: investigate, spot patterns, and think critically.
* Strong communicator: confident in both written and verbal communication, with a customer‑focused mindset.
* Organised and resilient: comfortable managing varied workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
* Empathetic and professional: handle sensitive situations with care and discretion.
* Background in customer service, case work or financial services helpful; related qualifications such as law, psychology, nursing also proven successful.
