As a Service Technician, youll be the expert on the move, visiting customers in their homes to breathe new life into their beloved sofas.

A day in the life of As a Service Technician, no two days are quite the same but here are some of the ways youll roll out the red carpet: Carry out upholstery repairs, adjustments, and maintenance in customer homes, stores, and Customer Distribution Centres (CDCs), ensuring every sofa meets our high-quality standards and agreed specifications.
Keep them informed throughout the visit, helping them feel confident and involved every step of the way.
Inspect furniture to identify any damage, defects, or signs of wear and decide on the best repair solution to bring the sofa back to its best.
Repair or replace external coverings and internal components, including leather, fabric, foam, seat interiors, springs, frames, mechanisms and other upholstery components, using the right tools and techniques to restore sofas to their original condition
- Keep detailed and accurate records of the work carried out, parts used or required, and any customer feedback to help us continuously improve.
Ensure every repair meets Sofologys quality standards and leaves customers feeling happy with both the result and the service theyve received.
Work closely with the wider Customer Care Teams to source any parts or materials needed to complete repairs quickly and to the right standard.
Educate customers on how to care for their sofas so they stay looking and feeling great for years to come.
Collaborate effectively with retail staff, the customer care team, and quality control to ensure a seamless, joined-up experience for every customer.

Passionate about quality and attention to detail Great with customers and confident in home environments Skilled with tools like staplers, cutters, and sewing equipment Experienced with fabric and leather repairs, internal components, and frame work Comfortable lifting and moving furniture safely A team player whos as happy fixing a sofa as they are making someones day Experience in upholstery or furniture repair is a big plus (13 years is ideal), but if youve got the passion, hands-on talent, and love helping people there could be a seat for you at Sofology!
