This role offers exposure to a variety of assignments across multiple sectors, working with diverse clients including main contractors, sub-contractors, and client organizations.
Responsibilities and Duties
As an Associate Director, you will report directly to the Managing Director and support senior management on complex disputes, while managing your own client assignments related to claims on live projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Collaborating with Delay Analysts to support disputed and time-related issues.
* Reviewing construction programmes and providing guidance.
* Advising clients to prevent conflicts with expert, commercially focused counsel.
* Supporting clients on delay and loss matters.
* Working with commercial experts on disputed and non-controversial time issues.
* Providing delay-related coaching and training to clients.
* Preparing reports and representing clients in tribunals.
* Collaborating with solicitors on construction disputes.
* Business development activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
* 10+ years of post-graduate experience in construction.
* Experience as a Lead Assistant to an Expert Witness (preferred).
* Strong background in live planning & programming for contractors or delay analysis in a disputes consultancy.
* Proficiency in P6, Asta Powerproject, and MS Project.
* Knowledge of standard contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
* Client-facing, well-presented, and articulate.
* Experience with formal disputes (adjudication, arbitration, litigation).
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Degree qualification.
* A Masters in Construction Law is desirable but not essential.
