Accounts & Office Administrator
Location: Newport
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays + Christmas shutdown

Our client is seeking a reliable Accounts & Office Administrator to manage day-to-day finance tasks alongside key office administration and HR support duties.
Responsibilities:
* Finance & Bookkeeping
* Carry out daily bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and credit control
* Process, record, and file invoices and financial documents
* Support VAT return preparation and liaise with external accountants as needed
* Administration & Compliance
* Oversee company insurances (premises, fleet, and other policies), including renewals and compliance
* Handle general office administration: correspondence, filing, and record management
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date company records
* HR Support
* Assist with basic HR administration tasks
* Organise staff inductions and onboarding for new employees
* Maintain employee records and support general HR processes
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
* Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar role
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and reconciliations
* Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
* Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Desirable:
* AAT qualification (or working towards)
* Experience with HR administration
* Previous experience in a small or medium-sized business environment
