We are looking for a confident, values-driven leader who can inspire, guide and support a teaching team. Experience as a centre manager, assistant manager, team leader or person responsible. Strong working knowledge of: ECE licensing criteria and ECE regulations, Te Wh āriki, Code of Professional Responsibility & Standards for the Teaching Profession, Health and Safety Act etc.
Someone who can maintain high regulatory standards while fostering a warm, collaborative culture. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with whānau, staff and the wider community. A proactive problem-solver who can manage operations, lead curriculum and support staff growth.
The role involves:
* leading the day-to-day operations of the centre
* Ensuring full compliance with all ECE regulations and licensing requirements
* Providing professional leadership and mentoring to kaiako
* Overseeing curriculum implementation and internal evaluation
* Building strong, trusting relationships with families
* Supporting enrolments, centre growth and community engagement
* Maintaining a safe, nurturing and high-quality learning environment.
