Role: Meet and Greet Volunteers - Macular Clinic @ Mater Hospital
This Meet and Greet role gives Volunteers the opportunity to help reduce patient anxiety and improve the overall atmosphere in the clinic by initiating light conversation and offering support.
It is an extremely rewarding role which is much appreciated by the patients and their families and gives Volunteers the chance to develop interpersonal skills and give back to their community.
Afternoon sessions Tuesday and Wednesday available.
Minimum age to apply for this role is 17.
Successful applicants need to undergo an Enhanced Access NI prior to commencing role. Two references should also be provided and applicants will go through Occupational Health screening.
Responsibilities
* Meet and greet service users and provide a warm welcome
* Listen and respond to service users
* Help service users to access the information they require
* Provide refreshments (tea/coffee) to service users
