In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Business Development Managers (BDMs) and driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement robust sales strategies and action plans to achieve stretching revenue targets within your assigned territory Recruit, train, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of 4 BDMs to maximise their sales potential and productivity Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the waste management industry, leveraging your industry knowledge and network Manage and nurture key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and marketing, to align sales initiatives and support customer requirements Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and tactics Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, negotiating favourable terms and closing deals effectively Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of successful sales management experience, preferably within the waste management or related industry in the UK Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a dynamic and competitive environment Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills Strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales tools Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required Valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle We offer a competitive salary package, performance-based incentives, and excellent opportunities for career growth and development within our organisation.
