The School and Role
We are seeking a hardworking and creative Health and Social Care Teacher to join a progressive 11–18 secondary school in September. The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will join a forward-thinking team in a school that is part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust. High expectations are set for all students, and the school is committed to removing barriers to learning.
This is a Health and Social Care Teacher position on a temp-to-perm basis. After an initial 18-week period, the school intends to offer the Health and Social Care Teacher a permanent contract.
Following a successful OFSTED inspection in October 2024, the school was praised for its positive culture. Students reported feeling happy, safe, and respected, making it a fantastic environment for a Health and Social Care Teacher looking to make a real difference.
Requirements
The desired Health and Social Care Teacher will:
1. Plan, deliver and teach Health and Social Care lessons and sequences at both KS4 and KS5.
2. Ensure that all students make progress through monitoring and supporting individual children and teaching groups.
3. Promote and support the inclusion of students, including those with specific needs.
4. Have effective communication skills, be reliable and hardworking individual.
