Critical Data Centre M&E Engineer – Berkshire
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £46,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
Our client is a global data centre services organisation, expanding their presence, and requires multiple M&E Maintenance Engineers at a state-of-the-art data centre in Berkshire. The role involves routine and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in a critical environment housing servers for major organizations, requiring 100% uptime.
The salary guideline is up to £43,000 basic, with opportunities for overtime and training. This is an excellent chance to join a market leader in a booming sector.

Duties:
* Ensure all Critical Facility PPMs are completed on schedule and reactive works are addressed promptly, meeting SLAs.
* Perform daily emergency callout tasks.
* Complete logbooks and RAMS.
* Apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environments.
* Maintain critical client services, including computer rooms, data networks, and revenue-generating services.
* Provide emergency response standby, escalate urgent issues, and respond to outages or emergencies per SLA.
* Support technical audits related to critical environments as directed.
* Maintain records and logs demonstrating maintenance delivery.
* Supervise contractors when required.
* Conduct emergency lighting testing.
* Perform electrical work, including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, and heat exchangers.
* Demonstrate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, generators, LV systems, with fault-finding capabilities.
Requirements:
* Trade-trained with ideally 3 years’ experience in building services.
* City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical qualification.
* Experience in critical sites such as data centres or banking facilities.
