This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to support the school’s SEND provision, working closely with the SENCO to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a well-respected primary school in Southwark
* Support the SENCO in overseeing the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEND
* Work with teachers and support staff to implement effective SEN strategies and interventions
* Assist in coordinating EHCPs, one-to-one support, and targeted learning programmes
* Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEND
* Collaborate with parents, external professionals, and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development
* Monitor student progress, ensuring individual learning plans are effectively delivered
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
* Strong understanding of SEN policies, EHCP processes, and intervention strategies
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students and staff
* National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
* Enhanced DBS check required
