Location: Essex, covering developments in Canvey Island, Chelmsford, and the surrounding area
Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: circa £32,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits including Health Cash Plan

As a Housing Manager in Essex, you will be the face-to-face support for our estates, ensuring safe homes and communities where people want to live, while maximizing income. Deliver first-class customer service and uphold our customer promise daily.
Responsibilities:
* Engage with customers and communities through visibility and proactivity on estates.
* Manage multiple patches and neighborhoods, supported by our Community Housing Assistant.
* Improve local neighborhoods through community engagement.
* Manage anti-social behavior, respond to queries and complaints.
* Handle voids process and liaise with local authorities.
* Conduct estate inspections, coordinate with contractors, and perform safety and compliance checks.
About You:
* Experience in housing management, understanding of housing law, and ideally, knowledge of universal credit.
* Willing to work towards Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 qualification.
* Organized, proactive, and positive in attitude.
* Passionate about customer service and helping others.
* Resilient, especially when handling complaints.
* Confident working with external partners like local authorities and MPs.
* Team player who also works independently in local estates.

Job Details:
* Hybrid role: 2-3 days in community patches, with regular team meetings and admin days working from home.
* Flexible working hours with some evening work for customer meetings.
* Must have a vehicle insured for business, with mileage paid by us.
* Standard DBS check required, paid for by us.
