Job Description

We will train you to be part of our dynamic customer-facing building facilities team, providing essential janitorial and cleaning tasks in our local buildings.
Ideal candidates should be able to work within a small team, independently, and be self-motivated.
The post holder will perform building safety tasks across Dalbeattie Learning Campus, Dalbeattie. Flexible working hours will be required on Saturdays and Sundays to cover school lets. Duties include building and grounds access and security, monitoring lets, supporting event organizers, and spot-cleaning between and after events.
Training will be provided in cleaning tasks, equipment and chemical use, and health and safety protocols.
This role involves 10 hours weekly, for 38 weeks per year. Specific working hours will be discussed during the interview.
This position is considered regulated work with vulnerable children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates will need to join or update the PVG Scheme before employment begins.
Applicants who have resided outside the UK in the last 5 years must provide a police record check from the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
A valid driving licence is essential; considerations will be made for applicants with disabilities precluding driving if alternative transportation arrangements are possible.

Good communication skills are essential.
This is a fixed-term position up to 12 months and may be suitable for secondment, subject to managerial approval.
