HR Advisor
We are recruiting for an HR Advisor to be based at either our Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester Office, with travel to other UK and Northern Ireland offices as required. This role sits within the HR Business Partnering team, comprising Senior HR Business Partners, HR Business Partners, HR Advisors, and an HR Operations team.
Your Role
As an HR Advisor, you will provide high quality generalist HR support and expert guidance across all stages of the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
* Employee Relations & Advisory Support
* Act as the first point of contact for managers, providing expert advice on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
* Support managers with employee relations cases, including performance management, absence, capability, flexible working and disciplinary.
* Attend formal and informal meetings, ensuring consistent application of policy and best practice.
* Work with our occupational health provider to implement recommendations and support wellbeing and family friendly policies.
* Case Management & Data Insight
* Maintain the Employee Relations Tracker, identifying trends and producing analysis and reports.
* Work with HR Business Partners to identify high risk cases and escalate appropriately.
* Operational HR Support
* Provide guidance on changes to employment terms such as secondments, promotions, or contractual changes.
* Ensuring reasonable adjustments are implemented effectively.
* Support on the implementation of TUPE and change processes across the Firm.
* Draft and review policies, procedures, and manager guidance to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practice.
* Support annual cyclical processes including performance grading, promotions, and salary review.
* Run data and produce analysis relating to exit interviews, leavers, sickness, performance grading, and contribute to the monthly HR Dashboard.
* Recruitment & Workforce Planning
* Support the leaver process, including highlighting risks, assessing workforce needs, and conducting exit interviews.
* Oversee the Authority to Recruit (ATR) process and liaising with Recruitment.
* Project Work
* Work independently and collaboratively on key HR projects that contribute to the Firm’s people strategy.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Previous HR generalist or advisory experience.
* Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence and provide credible advice to managers at all levels.
* Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
* Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office, and ideally experience using iTrent HR software.
* CIPD qualification (or working towards it) is desirable.
* Willingness to travel to UK office locations as needed.
