We have an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified Youth Worker Level 6 to join the Newark & Sherwood team. The role will cover two districts in the North, Bassetlaw and Newark & Sherwood, and will require collaborative working.
The Link Youth Worker will support young people aged 13 - 24 with disabilities through an inclusive youth provision. You will help young people develop a sense of belonging and transferable skills.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Deliver creative and innovative youth work
* Build positive relationships with young people
* Develop links with the local community and partners
* Manage a team of part-time staff
* Deliver and develop 4 open access evening sessions a week, along with daytime and after-school targeted youth work on issues relevant to young people's needs
* Work closely with colleagues in the district and wider service
Your main base will be at Dukeries Young People Centre, but your remit will cover the north of the county and involve travel to various settings. Attendance at events and projects will be required. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are necessary. Disabled employees who cannot drive due to their disability can use taxis for their duties.
