Lecturer - Agriculture (Crops)
Location: Cambridge (Milton) Campus
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £31,904 – £40,233 per annum (includes a £3,000 golden handshake payable in the first salary payment)
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
Responsibilities
* Deliver innovative and high‑standard classroom and practical sessions for agricultural courses, including the L2 Technical Certificate in Agriculture.
* Develop and update teaching resources, assessment tasks, and practical training materials.
* Participate in induction, regular training days, and the college’s teacher training programme.
* Support students through mentoring, feedback, and pastoral care, promoting a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification or degree in a relevant agricultural or rural science subject area.
* Relevant industrial experience in a rural or agricultural environment, with knowledge of arable farming and agricultural machinery.
* Teaching qualification at Level 5 or a commitment to obtain one within the first three years of employment.
* Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*–9/4) or willingness to achieve within 18 months of appointment.
