Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician
We’re looking for a skilled Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
Where you’ll work
Enfield cluster – covering Enfield, Edmonton, Palmers Green, Southgate, Wood Green and Tottenham. Work is localised so you can start and finish at home.
Responsibilities
You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, ranging from simple tasks such as flat battery checks or tyre changes to complex fault‑finding. You’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You’ll start and end your day at home and use your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit, all supplied.
Additionally, you will actively assess incidents, advise customers, maintain safety standards and record all work accurately.
Qualifications
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
* A customer‑focused approach.
* Full UK driving licence.
