The Group Chief People Officer position presents a unique and exciting opportunity to help shape and develop the culture and workforce delivery across the newly formed NWUH Group hospital Board on its journey to transforming patient and staff experience.
To work towards our Group ambitions, we are looking for an exceptional leader with a proven track record with executive HR leadership in a large complex organisation and system level. As a key figure within the Group and a non voting attendee at the Board of Directors you would be able to meet the challenges of 18,000 employees by driving change and growth at a key stage as the Norfolk & Waveney Hospital Group is established.
Main duties of the job
Working in close partnership with Group hospital leadership teams, clinical groups, professional bodies, trade unions and staff representatives, you will ensure the shape and delivery of a coherent and effective Group workforce strategy, founded on strong relationships and shared purpose.
You will collaborate with partners across the Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System to drive joint workforce programmes, shared policies, and regional workforce transformation.
Maintaining strong links with academic and research partners, including universities and education providers this role is integral to supporting a high quality clinical learning environment, and advancing our university hospital ambitions.
In partnership with Hospital Leadership Teams, you would need to provide visible, values based leadership to Site HR Directors, ensuring collaborative and consistent working across the Group. You would be expected to ensure the highest professional standards across all HR and OD services, including recruitment, workforce information, payroll, occupational health, wellbeing, learning and education

Job responsibilities
As a member of the Group Executive Team and a nonvoting attendee at the Board of Directors, the CPO will ensure People strategies, policies and practices support the Groups strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and commitment to delivering outstanding, safe and compassionate care.

Qualifications
* Educated to Master's level or equivalent experience
* Senior HR/People leadership experience within a large complex organisation
Experience
* Significant experience leading People and OD functions at Board or Executive level
* Extensive experience of workforce strategy, OD, ER, culture transformation and workforce planning
Skills
* Strong expertise in employment law, NHS workforce policy and OD best practice
