ESOL Tutor - Reading (Entry Level 2) Location: Rochdale Organisation: WEA (Workers' Educational Association) Contract: Fixed‑term (course delivery) Hours: Part‑time Course dates: 12 May 2026 - 23 July 2026 Class times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30am - 12:30pm About the Role WEA is seeking a qualified and learner‑focused ESOL Tutor to deliver an Entry Level 2 ESOL Skills for Life (Reading) programme based in Rochdale. You will deliver engaging, inclusive sessions for adult learners, supporting them to improve their English reading skills and work towards an accredited qualification. This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about community education and widening access to learning. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high‑quality ESOL Reading sessions at Entry Level 2 Create inclusive, supportive learning environments for adult learners Assess learner progress and maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and WEA requirements Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learner needs Support learners to achieve their qualification and progress to further learning About You A recognised ESOL or teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, CertTESOL, PGCE, or equivalent) Experience teaching ESOL to adult learners, preferably at Entry Level Knowledge of ESOL Skills for Life standards and accredited delivery Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive education Protocol: The Protocol Group is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing an inclusive and professional service for all.
