Daily Rota Nanny | Kensington, London & Woodbridge, Suffolk
Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 7.30am - 7pm. No overnight duties.
Start: 14th September 2026 (7th September if possible)
Contract: Fixed term to 31 December 2027, with potential to renew.
A wonderful family in Kensington, who come highly recommended, are looking for a second rota nanny to care for their 18 monthold boy. They already have a Norland nanny in place who makes up the other half of the rota, and are looking for a replacement for their second rota nanny who is returning to Australia after the summer.
This is a well structured rota role working two weeks on, two weeks off, with no overnight duties. The family are flexible on accommodation and are happy for the nanny to live in or live out during London shifts. When the family are in Suffolk, the role is live-in.
In London the family have a four-bedroom apartment close to High Street Kensington tube station, with Holland Park and Kensington Gardens a short 15 minute walk away. In Suffolk they have a six-bedroom country house with a separate annex/studio for the nanny's exclusive use, including a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. There is a gym in the house available to the nanny and a large garden.
They are looking for someone warm, energetic and sociable who can organise playdates, support activities and bring a fun, happy approach to daily life, integrating seamlessly into the household.
The little one previously had a night nanny and a day nanny for his first six months and is in an excellent routine. His days are structured around morning classes such as Monkey Music, Mini Mozart and swimming, followed by a long lunchtime nap. Afternoons are usually play, walks, outdoor time and activities at home. He sleeps 7pm to 8am and is an excellent eater. He will be starting nursery from January 2027.
The family generally spend Sunday night to Thursday (inclusive) in Kensington, London. Thursday night they usually drive to Woodbridge, Suffolk around 7pm (to coincide with the child's sleep), returning on Sunday night. The Rota nannies go with them to Suffolk for Friday, Saturday and Sunday during their on weeks returning to London on Sunday night. There will be some weeks (e.g. Easter, August and Christmas) when the family spend a week or more in Suffolk and they would want the nanny to cover that time there.
The current rota arrangements would have the applicant working the weeks of Christmas and New Year 2026 – the family is willing to discuss workarounds for this if necessary but it is their clear preference for the applicant to be available at that time.
A driver is preferred, particularly for Suffolk, though this is not essential.
