GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in schools across Barnsley. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and student development.
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
Provide 1:1 and small group interventions where necessary.
Assist in managing student behaviour and promoting engagement.
Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to meet pupil needs.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable.
A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to learning support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
