Summary of Role:
Manufacturing Engineering Technician, working as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT), supporting a programme within the Manufacturing function at Raytheon. Role will report into Manufacturing Engineering to support minimum of one program but possibly multiple programs
Main Duties:
1. Create and maintain standard rework routers and Temporary Work Instructions (TWIs).
2. Raise appropriate rework routers for units
3. Maintain and improve manufacturing specifications to ensure compliance and ease execution for associates
4. Support tooling & equipment requirements, e.g. maintenance, calibration, replacement, raising purchase requisitions
5. Provide support to the production line, deal with queries and challenges from Production Floor personnel
6. Support team in PRB activities and other quality investigations
7. Assist in the set up and operation of the manufacturing layout
8. Review manufacturing performance metrics and report any anomalies or trends and determine root cause and corrective & preventative actions
9. Attend internal meetings on Program and Process; participate in Customer conference calls when required
10. Support all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and requirements
11. Support audit and verification activities as required
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
12. Qualification – HNC in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or previous experience and knowledge can be used to determine competence
13. Understanding of Manufacturing processes and requirements
14. Knowledge of MES systems (e.g. Visiprise)
15. Basic data analysis techniques, e.g. extract data from MES system/SAP and spreadsheet analysis
16. Self-starter, prepared to generate ideas and initiate action
17. Ability to take direction and instruction
18. Ability to work as an active contributor to a team
19. Competent communicator – written and verbal – ability to take technical information and express it in layman terms for Operations staff to use
20. PC literacy with MS office packages as a minimum
21. Hands-on approach to issues on the line

22. A demonstrable interest in manufacturing or engineering
23. Manufacturing processes and requirements
24. Flexibility to work other shifts & extra hours if required
25. Working knowledge of manufacturing software packages (Minitab, SAP, MES Systems)
26. Experience / Interest in critical thinking & problem solving
