Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a solid working knowledge of FME Server and FME Desktop, with the ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot workspaces independently. We need strong SQL Server skills for ad-hoc queries and data extracts. We require Python scripting experience for data retrieval, processing, and automation. We value a methodical approach to operational monitoring and confidence in owning a live pipeline estate. We need the ability to read and understand existing code and processes. We prefer familiarity with Esri and GIS platforms. Familiarity with SCADA or operational telemetry data is desirable. Experience working in a water utility or regulated infrastructure environment is desirable. A DBS check is required as part of the onboarding process. Responsibilities: We retrieve pressure and flow data daily using Python scripts from a third-party analytics platform. We execute FME alarm pipelines weekly, including outflow volume and service trigger alarms, with some manual initiation from SCADA-generated notifications. We action DMA boundary requests promptly to keep network definitions accurate and up to date. We carry out weekly defect fixing for an operational management application to address bugs affecting live operations. We scope and develop FME workspaces for an asset data migration project. We provide ongoing data engineering support for an IT-led systems integration programme. We complete data extraction and file management tasks to support the team. We respond to ad-hoc business data requests using SQL, SME, and Python. We maintain ongoing documentation of the FME workspace estate.
