Electronic Manufacturing Engineer - FTC (6 Months) at Oxford Instruments. We enable the world’s leading industrial companies and scientific research communities to image, analyse and manipulate materials down to the atomic and molecular level.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electromechanical Engineer to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract and work on our newest range of products – Proteox. These dilution refrigerators will be instrumental in the development of Quantum Computers and we require an experienced individual to ensure that we have robust processes and operations in place within this complex manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
* Deliver manufacturing processes and the appropriate tooling for our newest product range and subcomponents.
* Develop new processes and review/improve existing processes to maintain world-class manufacturing standards and manage risks.
* Solve technical problems, raise non-conformances and work within the Quality Management System for document management and engineering change.
About You / Qualifications
* Recognised engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, NVQ or HNC in electronics.
* Demonstrable experience working with electromechanical devices.
* Ideally Six Sigma Yellow belt or relevant continuous improvement experience.
* Ability to document and control processes and guide technicians through build and test operations, identifying Critical To Quality and Critical To Satisfaction factors.
* Experience developing test processes for electromechanical subassemblies and devices.
