We are looking for an experienced Furnace Engineer with a passion for leadership and mentoring. We are looking for a Furnace Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience to lead a team of dedicated furnace technicians in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of furnace operations, drive preventative maintenance, and be the go-to expert when things heat up—literally.
What you’ll be doing as our Furnace Engineering Supervisor:
* Lead & Organise a team of furnace technicians, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Coach & Mentor technicians, sharing your knowledge and building team capability.
* Plan Preventative Maintenance to keep our high-temperature furnaces running reliably.
* Respond to Breakdowns with urgency and expertise, coordinating fast and effective repairs.
* Be Contactable Out of Hours to guide and support technicians when urgent issues arise.
* Drive Continuous Improvement in furnace performance, safety, and reliability.
* Work Hands-On with both vacuum and non-vacuum furnace systems.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Furnace Engineering Supervisor:
* 10+ years’ experience working with high-temperature furnaces (vacuum and non-vacuum).
* Strong technical knowledge of furnace systems and maintenance practices.
* Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a technical environment.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
* A proactive, hands-on approach and a calm head under pressure.
Nice to have:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
* Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Familiarity with CMMS or other maintenance planning tools.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (dependant on experience)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2.30pm (some flexibility required)
