Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team in Manchester within Adult Social Care.
This is an ongoing locum position paying £30.00 per hour, offering flexible part-time or full-time working with hybrid working available following an initial office-based induction.
This role is ideal for an experienced social worker who enjoys fast-paced mental health work, triage, and collaborative multi-agency working, while benefiting from the flexibility and lifestyle balance that locum work provides.

What You Will Do
Manage and respond to mental health referrals, including triage and initial screening.
Carry out mental health checks and assessments in line with statutory duties.
Provide advice, guidance, and support to service users and professionals.
Work closely with health colleagues and multi-disciplinary partners to deliver coordinated care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using the PARIS system.
Participate in an office-based induction and integrate into the team, with the role likely to extend based on service needs.
What We’re Looking For
Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
Registered with Social Work England.
Experience working within Adult Mental Health Services.
Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures.
Confident in triage, screening, and assessment work.
Previous experience working in a local authority mental health team.
